Sarvenaz Amanat (b. London, UK) is a visual artist, composer, independent curator and founder of Gallery1515 in Vancouver. Currently, she is a Public Programs Coordinator for Families and Youth at the Vancouver Art Gallery where she also worked as a museum educator from 2009-2019. From 2017-2019 she was a radio co-host for When Spirit Whispers on Vancouver Co-op Radio. In the past, she worked at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago and as a museum educator at the Art Institute of Chicago. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art History from McGill University and a master’s degree in Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Sarvenaz has lived in Vancouver since age 3, with varying periods in Montreal, London, Chicago and New York City. |
