Moat Gallery at the Vancouver Public Library www.mypieceofmind.ca 'Shattered Identity: Glass Head 2,3' by Sarvenaz Amanat has been selected for the 'Piece of Mind' Exhibition opening May 3rd at 6pm at the Moat Gallery at the Vancouver Public Library. Sarvenaz will also be one of three artists sitting on the discussion panel opening night. The sculpture is made of 2 shattered glass heads, intentionally broken to pieces. It symbolizes a shattering of identity, of worldly attachments, which often comes with the tests and trials of life. This distress and suffering brings pain but can also bring clarity, freedom and a connection to that which lies beyond the physical realm.
